How to Pray Fajr On Time, Every Time

Fajr Prayer

Fajr Prayer

As Muslims, Fajr prayer always seems to be the hardest one of the five to do on time.  Dawn always comes so early, and our evening activities are often just too enjoyable to leave, or so many people say.  So how can we do it?

I searched for a few ideas and found the common responses – make the intention to do it, and have a lot of determination.  Well,  I think you do need both of these, but I wondered what specific action steps you could take to get where you want to go – in other words, what could you do to wake up early enough every day to pray Fajr on time.

I came across an article that was written, not with reference to prayer, but to teach you how to get up early every day.  But wouldn’t that help with being ready for fajr?  For sure it would.

And, most importantly, remember to use the Qur’an as your guide. Recite verse number 127 of Surah Baqarah or the last four verses of Surah Kahf before going to sleep. By reciting these verses if you intend to wake up at a particular time, Insha Allah you will.
